Traci Marchetta (Owner, Director, Instructor)

I started dance lessons at the age of two.  My love for dance has been an encouragement to continue learning, performing, and teaching throughout my life.  I continued with dance lessons and was on two competition teams with two different studios during the same year.  I’ve enjoyed competing in many regional and national dance competitions, carnival balls, and fairs including the World’s Fair.  I’ve completed both an oral and written exam to graduate in dance.  I also auditioned for the New Orleans Saintsations and was selected out of over 300 applicants each year.  During my 8 years of being a Saintsation, I have appeared in print, T.V., movies, and had the joy of traveling to many places doing what I love which included performing at the American Bowl (Saints vs. Eagles) in Tokyo, Japan!  I was asked to return to Japan to represent the New Orleans Saintsations and perform with one other NFL cheerleader from each NFL team.

There is a scene in the Disney movie “Saintly Switch”, where I am dancing on the sidelines which has given me so many exciting memories!  It’s also been fun to dance alongside the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders during a Saints vs. Cowboys scrimmage game!  My experience through dance and being a pro-football cheerleader has brought me to travel to several places and gave me many opportunities in my life!

My students have shown their talent in our beautiful, professional recitals, parades, competitions, fairs, and community performances.  They have had the opportunity to dance in Disney World and on Carnival Cruise Lines!  I’ve won many choreography awards, as well as, my faculty.  The PADC students have won title awards along with many 1st overall awards in regional and national competitions.  The students at PADC have also won many scholarships!  If I can put a smile on a child’s face or give them a little more confidence, then I know that I’ve been a positive influence in their lives.

Lynne Barré (Choreographer, Instructor)

I have been a part of Performing Arts Dance Center as a faculty member and a teacher/choreographer since it opened in 1997.  With over 40 years of dance experience, I have studied with many choreographers.  I have been in the competitive world for many years where I have won awards for best costumes.  I now work in the PADC office where I handle many projects.  PADC has a Teacher Graduate Program for students who are graduating where I run this program.  Previously, I have assisted with the choreography for the Andouille Pageant, and have served as a judge for several other dance events.  My favorite style of dance is tap.  I love being with the students at PADC where terminology is taught in a loving and family atmosphere.

Looking forward to another exciting dance year!

I am excited to be your child’s Contemporary Teacher this year.

I have been dancing for the past 15 years at Studio84 in New Iberia, LA.  I was on their competition team, as well.  Since graduation in 2014, I started doing more classes and choreography for studios around Louisiana.  For the past two years, I took over a company team in Crowley, Louisiana at Core Dance Studio.  I love to teach and I’m very passionate about teaching dance.  My background in performance and training:   I was on Justin Giles company two years ago in Dallas Texas called Soulescape.  Recently, I traveled to Israel to take part in a dance intensive with Ohad doing Gaga style.  Both were incredible learning opportunities for me and I enjoy relaying the info I learned to students.  I just graduated from UL with an architecture and design degree.  I am so excited to teach at Performing Arts Dance Center.
